  1. EPSJET is a software Epson MX-80 emulator for the HP DeskJet!  By David
  2. L. Bailey (dated 1989), this GEM of a program is a must-have for all
  3. DeskJet owners.  Not all Epson features are implemented, and graphics
  4. output will be no better in resolution than it would be on an Epson
  5. MX-80.  Programs using GDOS output and the FX80.SYS driver should work
  6. with EpsJet to print MX-80-resolution graphics. Text output programs
  7. that request the MX-80 to underscore, print compressed or expanded
  8. characters, print italics, bold, subscripts or superscripts, should work
  9. with EpsJet. Certain other MX-80 functions (for example, tab settings)
  10. are not supported.  The author lists all sorts of ways this program
  11. doesn't _exactly_ emulate the MX-80, but what it does sounds good enough
  12. for me!  I am not sure if it works with anything but the DeskJet
  13. "Classic" (given the date only that version of the DeskJet was available
  14. then), but it certainly is worth the try!
